Since it's currently unknown whether Sony will publish a successor TV remote app, it just makes sense to have backups of this remote app for now. apk mirror/archive sites like APKMirror which maintain archives of virtually each version released (if you trust that the hosted files are clean): apk file (after it's been installed on your Android device). On Android, it's much easier as there are plenty of app backup programs on the Google Play Store that can copy the Video & TV SideView. I haven't tried to restore the backed-up app with iMazing yet, but verified that it downloaded the. ipa file from the App Store (it's under the "Library" tab after clicking on "Manage Apps" in iMazing):

Once it's pulled from the App Store, you're out of luck for making an app backup with iMazing. Instead, it needs to download it directly from Apple's App Store, and only for the currently available version (6.0.1). Timewise, it's critical that you need to do this NOW before it's discontinued and pulled from the Apple App Store in October, because iMazing CANNOT actually back up the app file from your iOS device directly.
